Hopcat Ice Cream

Need a little something for that sweet tooth this summer? Well it’s time to get into a little DIY and try some HopCat Beer Ice Cream!

Ingredients:
1 pint  Reduced Beer
1 pint  Half and Half
1 pint  Heavy Whipping Cream
5          Egg Yolks
1 c.      Sugar
1 tsp.  Bourbon Vanilla Extract
1 tsp.  Salt 
Instructions:

Step 1 Boil off the water in your chosen beer (stir continuously)

Step 2 In a large bowl mix together: egg yolks, vanilla, sugar (gradually added until “cream”)

Step 3 Add half & half and heavy cream to the beer reduction and bring to temperature

Step 4 SLOWLY add beer mixture to your cream bowl stirring vigorously to create a custard consistency

Step 5 Allow mixture to cool to refrigerator temperature

Step 6 Once cool, pour mixture into an Ice Cream Maker and follow the instructions included with your machine

Step 7 Scoop and garnish with fresh fruit
